A Driscoll’s Berry Tasting Party

I always love opportunities to throw parties. There is something about cooking for a group of friends that is so much more rewarding than cooking for yourself or for work. This month, I was chosen to participate in Driscoll’s Berry twitter tasting event. We were sent all sorts of goodies and tasty recipes for the event. These recipes are definitely keepers; I had no idea how much you could do with berries!

We kicked off the event with Berry Bellinis. These are so delicious, but beware of the sugar hangover that can follow.

The appetizer was a Warm Brie with Raspberries and Pistachios. This was probably my favorite thing from the entire event, so delicious! This is a great recipe to save money because you don’t need to buy an expensive brie to make the dish taste delicious, all of the other flavors can disguise a cheaper brie.

Next we had Acorn Squash with Raspberry Sauce. The berries gave an extra tangy flavor to the buttery squash. This is a simple and healthy side dish, great for Thanksgiving!

For our “main” we had a Wild Rice Dressing with Raspberries and Celery. This is a great side dish for turkey or chicken. Once again the berries added an extra flavor element that I was not used to. I would have never thought to put berries with rice but they went great together!

The dessert was a festive Eggnog Panna Cotta. This recipe requires a bit of time, but is a beautiful dessert for guests.

I hope you enjoy these recipes as much as we did! They would make a great addition to holiday menus for the upcoming month. Thanks to Driscoll’s Berries for inviting me to the event!

Disclaimer: I received free product from Driscoll’s Berries for this event. All recipes and photos came from Driscoll’s.
