Maple-Sage Pork & Apple Stuffed Acorn Squash
Fall is in full force in the mountains. My sister-in-law sent a video of her lawn today and it was still BRIGHT GREEN! Definitely not the case here. The trees have almost lost all their leaves and we have even gotten a few days with snow. Luckily, apples are in season and I had a HUGE acorn squash from Ben’s Mom sitting in our pantry. Bring on the comforting flavors of fall!
Maple Rosemary Sous-Vide Turkey
Winter has arrived in Summit County. We have been getting feet on feet of snow! I am struggling to keep my plants alive in my little apartment. As for my eating habits, I am in winter-mode full swing. There have been a lot of potatoes and winter squash in my life. In the spirit of Thanksgiving, I wanted to share a delicious Turkey recipe with all of you. I have been eating turkey quite a bit for the last few weeks, but somehow am still not sick of it! I have been playing around with my new SousVide Supreme also and have some delicious creations to share with you over the next few weeks.
A Pairing Party w/ Swiss Maid Fudge
When I first began blogging, I didn’t really know what I would put on my blog or where it would take me. Actually, I was forced (well maybe required is a better word) to make a blog for my advertising media class last fall and figured I love food, music, photos, etc. so why not focus on my senses. Almost a year later I am at a point that I would have never imagined. I am completely submerged in the blogging universe and loving it! When I tell people that I am a blogger they are always a little uneasy, but then when I tell them I am a FOOD blogger they always seem so intrigued. I am so excited about all of the opportunities I have been given because of my blog, although I must say that the next few weeks are kind of filled with different blogging opportunites, I hope you enjoy them too!
Maple-Glazed Salmon w/ Pineapple
How many of you liked fish or veggies when you were a kid? Now, how many went through that phase in your life where you magically began to like all sorts of food? As a kid, I would not even eat fish sticks, let alone a real fish! My vegetable category consisted of mashed potatoes, peas and corn. In only the past two years, my taste buds have matured. Now the only vegetables I really don’t like are mushrooms; except I must admit I ate a grilled portobello with cheese the other day and it was delicious! Also, I also absolutely love seafood now. Living in Colorado I have not had the luxury of tasting a huge variety, but I have fallen in love with it.
