Sage Herbal Tea
While dogsitting for my parents in Denver, I noticed that my mom had a ton of sage still on her sage bush from last summer. My boyfriend and I thought it would be a great idea to make some sage bundles to burn. After making four large bundles, we still had so much left over! Since sage has so many great health properties, we decided to make a sage herbal tea.
I think it is very fitting that a sage is a “person of profound wisdom”. This plant is truly amazing. It has been used for centuries to treat sore throats, fevers, digestion problems, muscle spasms. It is similar to rosemary in its ability to improve brain function and memory. Even if you don’t suffer from any of these issues, the best thing about sage is its ability to relax your body from the inside out. This tea is bright with a perfectly balanced combination of lemon, sage, mint and cinnamon. No flavor overpowers any other, which makes it a great homemade tea to try! I will be making some new teas soon so keep your eyes peeled for more herbal tea recipes in the future!
