Spicy Cheddar Pecan Dip

July 12, 2011 13 comments Article Appetizers, Recipes

I know the title of this post may sound like a handful, but the recipe is actually really simple. My mom recently had a little get together for all of the women she used to work at IBM with. Lucky for me I was crashing at her house this night, which meant all the Sangria and appetizers I could ask for in exchange for playing with an adorable three-month year old puppy all night (rough I know).

One of the ladies brought this AMAZING dip. When I first tasted it I didn’t really know what it was except for that it had cheese in it. I was instantly in love- sweet, yet cheesy, yet spicy? What was this?! I spent the next half hour hunting down the recipe. I found out that the interesting twist in the recipe was jalapeno jelly, something I had never even heard of before then. Either way, I might have to say this is probably my favorite appetizer dip to date, plus it is so easy to make. Don’t be weary of the strange ingredient combination, this recipe is too delicious to pass up!

Looks delectable! I might love to spread them over the wrap and roll it up with some baby greens. Would make a perfectly light and delicious lunch for me.

Great idea for a dip! It’s so nice to see something that doesn’t include sour cream or cream cheese. Not that I don’t love sour cream and cream cheese, but for someone who eats a lot of dip…there’s only so much you can take! Oh, and that jalapeno jelly sounds amazing too. Great find.
