Top 11 of 2011 & New Years Resolutions

January 2, 2012 13 comments Article Recipes, Updates

It’s interesting to me how the beginning of the new year can influence us so much. The new year always has me reminiscing of the past year, assessing my life and goals, and trying to plan for my future; and now looking back at my blogging from the year before. I don’t usually make it a point to make new years resolutions because how many of us actually follow through with them? Last year my new years resolution was to cut back on eating processed and refined sugars… until I found out that (supposedly) agave nectar is really hard for your body to process, which meant I really wasn’t doing much good for my body by substituting it for sugar.

This year I have a few small resolutions that I think will be easier to actually follow through with.

My blogging resolution is to comment more on other people’s blogs. I know that I don’t comment on everybody else’s blogs as much as I should, but I want you to know that I am still reading! To make sure that you know I am following, I am going to start commenting more.

My personal resolution is to start brushing my teeth twice a day and flossing more. I have fallen into a bad habit of only brushing my teeth in the morning and hardly ever flossing… which needs to change. Sorry if I am grossing you out, but it’s the truth.

In addition to these, I have a few small goals for 2012 as well. I am going to continue working on my culinary skills and food photography. I am also going to try to become a good surfer while in Hawaii. And of course, what everybody always says when new years rolls around, I am going to try to eat healthier all around and exercise regularly.

I would also like to share my Top 11 of 2011 lists with all of you. I have my top viewed, top commented, and most underrated blog posts from the last year. If you haven’t, please check out these posts and give my most underrated posts a second chance! It is always a good idea to start the new year with good karma right? =)

A lot of those jumped out at me, but the Roasted Garlic Flatbread really spoke to me! Maybe because I’ve been dieting and I’m really craving pizza. Or it’s just the idea of roasted garlic!

Great round up! Isn’t it funny that some of our favorite recipes don’t get the coverage they deserve and yet other posts explode!? I’ve got a few of those myself.
I’m trying to comment more on everyone else’s blogs too but there are SO many great ones out there…I need a 25 hour day! Happy New Year!
